There are so many great and cheap Xbox One games coming to the Xbox One this spring that making a list of them all wouldn’t do them any justice. However, that’s exactly what we did, and it turns out there’s an even better selection on the way than we previously thought. Whether you’re buying an Xbox One for the first time or you’re looking for something exciting to play in the coming months, there are plenty of great games on the way in spring 2020.
With such a great selection of Xbox One games on the way, video games will undoubtedly have their hands full this spring. From epic action-adventure games to stunning sci-fi games, there’s something for everyone coming to Xbox One this spring. Serving as a sequel to the 2016 remake/reboot, Doom Eternal is set to be one of the biggest games of 2020. Giving players the chance to save Earth once more, Doom Eternal is an all-out battle with all of the biggest demons of the galaxy. Not only that, but Doom Eternal developers Bethesda promise that the game will be more than anything it has ever been before.
While updates surrounding the release of Bleeding Edge have been relatively sparse, it appears the game is well prepared for a major spring 2020 release. As it might appear to be reminiscent of Overwatch, Ninja Theory has assured its fanbase that Bleeding Edge will be unlike anything they have ever seen before. With plenty of 4v4 multiplayer action, Bleeding Edge could potentially be one of the most underrated games to come out of this year for Xbox One.
Resident Evil 3 Remake
While remakes technically aren’t “new” games, the Resident Evil 3 Remake is such an upgrade that it feels like a brand new game. Capitalizing off the success of the Resident Evil 2 Remake, Square Enix wastes no time in sending players right back to the Resident Evil world they vividly remember. Though it may be a revamp, Resident Evil 3 Remake comes with a brand new 4v1 multiplayer game mode that makes the experience feel completely fresh. The playable demo is already available for those wanting to see what it’s all about.
In this squad-based RPG, Wasteland 3 sends players to Arizona to fight through a hostile post-apocalyptic environment in a fight for survival. As you travel across the deserts of Arizona to the ice-cold mountains of Colorado, Wasteland 3 will require players to be multi-talented if they hope to make it out alive. With no shortage of tactical combat and plenty of exploration involved, Wasteland 3 will be one of the most brutally cutthroat games to be released on Xbox One this year.
Despite several pushbacks, Marvel’s Avengers appears to be ready to finally hit the Xbox One shelves in 2020. Giving players the chance to play as some of their favorite superheroes, including Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and more, Marvel’s Avengers has been in the works for quite some time and aims not to disappoint. With plenty of multiplayer content set to be made available well after the game’s release, Marvel’s Avengers looks to be the superhero game that fans have so anxiously been waiting for.
After catching a brief glimpse of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2018, fans immediately knew that the new project from CD Projekt RED was going to be unlike anything they had ever seen or played before. In this open-world RPG, players will have to navigate and fight their way through the aggressive futuristic environment known as Night City - encountering all sorts of characters along the way, some friendly and some not so pleasant. Touted as the game to watch out for this year, Cyberpunk 2077 is sure to be a game that fans will be playing for quite some time once it’s finally released this year.
Gods and Monsters
Announced earlier last year, Gods and Monsters is brought to you by the same developers behind Assassin's Creed Odyssey. In this adventure based game set in Greek mythology, Gods and Monsters sends players through a hero’s quest of unlocking puzzles, navigating dungeons, and fighting no shortage of monsters along the way. Facing off against plenty of mythological creatures along the way, Gods and Monsters could very well be one of the best looking games for Xbox One in 2020.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Sag
As another year passes, another Lego game hits the shelves and will likely be just as enjoyable, if not more, than the previous. Much like the other crossovers in the Lego Star Wars game series, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is likely to be one of the most entertaining games for gamers of all ages. Promising hundreds of characters and plenty of fun-filled adventures, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga could very well be the best Lego video game we’ve seen to date.
Watch Dogs Legion
One of the most anticipated games of 2020, Watch Dogs Legion puts players right in the middle of the action in a dystopian, futuristic London. Similar to its predecessors, Watch Dogs Legion will give players the chance to recruit potential Dedsec team members and hack their way through the London streets. With no shortage of parkour action, Watch Dogs Legion is sure to live up to all of its hype.
Dying Light 2
Building on the success of its predecessor, Dying Light 2 is back in all of its zombie-killing glory. With humans fighting it out for supremacy in the zombie-infested world, Dying Light 2 will also be adding an element of role-playing alongside first-person combat to spice up the series. As the game promises to deliver an evolving world based on every choice and action of the player, Dying Light 2 could prove to be one of the most dynamic and unique Xbox One games of 2020.
